Dematic is looking for a Solution Development Engineer to work with the Circular Sortation Center of Excellence. This person will be working as part of an international team to take customer requests and translate them into concrete items by preparing costs, drawings, and BOM's.

This role is based out of our Grand Rapids, Michigan location, but offers flexibility to work on a hybrid basis.

  The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $75,000 - $100,000 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.
  
  Tasks and Qualifications:
  
  What You Will Do In This Role:
  
  • Collaborate and interact with the Solution Development Regional Office and the rest of the Team, to define the offering strategy
    
  • Define and verify the technical/commercial requirements of the system in question
    
  • Define the costs of the solution, through the estimate tool and information received from external suppliers or other company bodies (engineering and procurement)
    
  • Draw up, independently or in collaboration with the System Engineer Team Leader, the technical/commercial offer document structured in accordance with the customer's requests
    
  • Interface with the customer to ensure project compliance with contractual requirements, regulations and relevant legislation
    
    
    What We Are Looking For:
    
    • 3+ years of experience in similar role.
      
    • Knowledge of 3D mechanical drawing such as AutoCAD and excellent knowledge of the Office package is required. Knowledge of Microsoft Project is a plus
      
    • Excellent knowledge of the English Language is essential. Additional language is appreciated
      
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required, combined with strong ability to manage complex projects and the ability to work in a team.
      
    • Knowledge of intralogistics processes and/or the functionality of automatic sorting systems is an advantage.
