Job Description:

--- Provide occupational, primary, and emergency medical services to all Project personnel.

--- Administers initial first aid treatment to injured or ill personnel and renders subsequent follow-up treatment as needed under the direction of a consulting physician.

--- Provide occupational health and injury management advice, support, and direction to enable successful resolution of work injury and health related issues.

--- Evaluates injuries and/or illnesses which require the services of a physician or hospital and makes referrals, as necessary.

--- Carry-out safe standards of nursing care according to legislation, Standard Operating Project policies and procedures.

--- Establish and manage a monthly equipment checklist register; the asset register; the equipment maintenance and calibration schedule.

--- Make weekly inventory of drugs, equipment, and consumables.

--- Complete monthly procurement requests to maintain adequate supplies of medications, consumables, and equipment.

--- Ensure medications and supplies are properly stored and within use-by dates.

--- Inspect and accept shipments of medications and supplies.

--- Use the Electronic Medical Records Systems as required and ensure accuracy and maintenance of all medical records.

--- Dispenses medication in accordance with scope of clinical practice and clinical practice guidelines.

--- Supports the project drug and alcohol testing program and Conducts drug and alcohol screenings.

--- Establishes and maintains electronic medical records and prepares related reports as required by the project and ES&H Core Processes.

--- Provides certified First Aid / CPR training to the site First Aid/Rescue Team.

--- Facilitation of the Project's "Return to Work" Program in conjunction with the workers compensation team.
