  We are a leading company in the healthcare industry seeking a senior-level Database Administrator to join our dynamic team. You will be stepping into an essential role, ensuring the smooth operation of our SQL Server applications and filling the gap left by a departing senior DBA.
  
  Your expertise will be crucial in supporting several Tier 1 level applications that belong to the Bureau of Labs, Cancer Registry, and more. We are looking for a dedicated professional who can hit the ground running and help us maintain our high standards of service.
  What You'll Be Doing...
  
  • Providing 24x7 software and hardware support for complex applications in several versions of SQL Server, with high availability and Disaster Recovery support.
  • Developing and submitting plans for installation, patch management maintenance, upgrades, and support for the Database systems.
  • Evaluating impacts of change and new technology, recommending solutions to persistent problems.
  • Serving as an Agency Services liaison to external consultants.
  • Monitoring space allocation across databases and performing adjustments as necessary.
  • Calculating disk space requirements for existing and/or new installations of existing business needs.
  • Monitoring and supporting clustered database environments and database replication and backup environments.
  • Implementing the strategy to release unused space or repair fragmentation in test and development environments.
  • Monitoring database back-ups to ensure recoverability and troubleshoot backup errors. The Right Person Has...
    
    • 7+ years of Database administration specifically on SQL Server 16 and upwards.
    • Expertise in HA and DR solutions.
    • Experience with Transparent Data Encryption within SQL Server.
    • Over 3+ years of experience creating, updating, and maintaining systems documentation.
