As a Dematic Human Resources Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in various HR disciplines and develop skills in human resource management. You will work closely with HR business partners and functional leaders to support the organization's HR initiatives and achieve business results. Additionally, you will participate in a team-based Innovation Challenge where you will dive into an inspiring, collaborative experience with your intern cohort.   The hourly pay range for this role is estimated to be $17-$21 per hour at the time of the posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, student classification/year of study, experience, knowledge, and skills.
  
  Tasks and Qualifications:
  
  This is What You Will do in This Role:
  
  • Assist HR business partners in daily operations and strategic projects.
  • Support the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Participate in talent management activities, including recruitment, onboarding, new hire check-ins, mobility verification letters, conducting thorough exit interviews and support employee development.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives and organizational development programs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support HR-related projects.
  • Address basic questions from employees and front-line managers, ensuring a prompt and supportive response.
  • Play a vital role in maintaining accurate and insightful HR data in Workday
  • Ensure precision in HR data validation processes, upholding the highest standards of accuracy and reliability.
  • Develop skills in public speaking, business writing, and interpersonal communication
  • Gain exposure to HR best practices and understand how HR supports business goals.
  • Enhance project management and networking skills.
  • Learn about various HR functions, including talent management, compensation, benefits, and employee relations
    
    What We are Looking For:
    
    • You must be a full-time student at an accredited U.S. college or university
    • Actively perusing a degree in Human Resources
    • Currently in your Junior or Senior year
    • Ability to work at Dematic's North American Headquarters, located in Grand Rapids, MI.
    • Basic understanding of local employment laws and governance
    • Strong interest in human resources and organizational development
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
    • Understanding of basic HR processes / standards
    • Demonstrates a basic knowledge of professional HR principles and skills related to tactical HR
    • Basic understanding of local employment laws and governance
    • Participate in various Future Talent Programing events, such as weekly professional development sessions, a team-based innovation challenges and endless development opportunities.
