$8,000 - $12,000 Sign-On Bonus!!
Hourly Range: $28.90 - $41.00 (based on experience)
Shift Differentials:
- 7am-3pm: Saturday & Sunday at $1.25 extra per hour
- 3pm-11pm: Monday - Thursday at $2.00 extra per hour
- 3pm-11pm: Friday - Sunday at $3.00 extra per hour
- 11pm-7am: Monday - Thursday at $4.00 extra per hour
- 11pm-7am: Friday - Sunday at $5.00 extra per hour Placement
Fee: 20%
- 12-hour shifts at 7:00am-7:00pm & 7:00pm-7:00am
- 8-hour shifts: 2nd:3:00pm-11:30pm & 3rd:11:00pm-7:30am
- Full Time Evenings. 32 hours a week 3pm to 11:30 pm-
3:00pm-11:30pm
- Full Time Nights. 32 hours a week 11pm to 7:30 am A Registered
Nurse is responsible and accountable to perform the nursing process
as a basis for patient care. RNs provide direction and oversight to
other licensed and non-licensed staff. Pine Rest RNs show
compassion to recipients of services, coworkers, and surrounding
communities through integrity, stewardship, empowerment, the
promotion of diversity, and professional excellence. The Registered
Nurse must demonstrate excellent customer service and have
enthusiasm for the program and the Pine Rest organization.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assesses person's served care needs, develops a plan of care in
collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, and continually
reassesses plan of care according to person's served care
needs.
- In collaboration with the physician, provides/coordinates
nursing care to individuals and groups of person's served.
- Assists in the teaching of persons' served families, and
provides milieu management. Communicates with and educates persons'
served families/significant others in discharge/after care planning
needs.
- Provides a safe and secure environment for persons served and
staff in both individual and group settings.
- Responsible for documenting, reporting, and verifying all
necessary information according to established policies and
procedures.
- Responsible to monitor for and report to the physician(s) any
potential risk to person's served safety that could lead to an
adverse outcome.
- Creates a customer/client friendly environment by following
quality improvement standards, maintaining professionalism,
initiating and maintaining positive relationships with
departments/programs, co-workers and external customers.
- Provides care in various clinical settings with diverse
person's served populations. Identifies specific person's served
needs and implements person's served centered, compassionate
care.
- Functions as a clinical leader, delegating/coordinating staff
assignments and promoting staff development.
- Responsible for the utilization and continued review of patient
care protocols, standards of practice, and standards of care. Gives
input into process for improvement.
- Utilizes and promotes careful use of resources.
- May be responsible in training direct care staff.
- May be indirectly responsible for oversight of medication and
physical health activities in a program.
- May be responsible for scheduling, staffing, and obtaining
pre-authorizations.
- Responsible to role model the mission and values of the
organization, presenting a professional image that is projected in
appearance, attitudes and behaviors, time management and
communication skills. Provides spiritual, emotional, social, mental
and physical support to patients.
- In the community residential setting required to support and
promote a recovery focused environment and person-centered approach
within the program.
- Commitment to demonstrating the Hospital and Residential
Services Model of Care in hospital and residential areas.
- Responsible to uphold the healing ministry of Christ through
relationships that honor integrity, stewardship, empowerment, the
promotion of diversity, equity, inclusion, and professional
excellence.
- Must maintain annual training and demonstrate competency in the
required programmatic training.
- Performs other duties or functions as assigned. Supervisory
Responsibilities:
- May function as a charge nurse. Benefits: Priority Health

Required/Desired Qualifications:
Education, Training, and Experience:
- Licensed to practice in the state of Michigan, Bachelor's
Degree in Nursing is preferred.
- May be required to have professional knowledge of psychiatric
nursing theory as required through completion of education from an
accredited school of nursing.
- Satisfactory previous clinical experience.
- New grads can be considered but would prefer pysch or ED
experience. Specific skills, knowledge, and abilities:
- Ability to provide care/service within the scope of: Holding a
conviction to express Christ's love and compassion to recipients of
services, coworkers, and surrounding communities through integrity,
stewardship, empowerment, the promotion of diversity, equity,
inclusion, and professional excellence.
- Ability to provide culturally inclusive care with a wide range
of individuals in a diverse community setting.
- Work requires professional knowledge of psychiatric nursing
theory as required through completion of education from an
accredited school of nursing.
- Requires physical and emotional stamina to deal with physical,
emotional, social, cultural and spiritual needs of patients.
- Ability to work in a potentially adverse environment.
- Analytical skills necessary in order to collect, analyze and
interpret complex patient data, to determine importance of
information collected and the ability provide this data to
providers and other team members as necessary.
- The candidate may be required to have a valid Michigan driver's
license and ability access Pine Rest Transportation Vehicles for
the performance of job duties.
